Introduction

Why learning assessment?

This semester was essentially a transformative process of learning for myself. It was certainly not an easy feat to “rewire” my brain from the study of law to the study of teaching . Nevertheless, the experience of acquiring “fresh” knowledge was fulfilling.

The title presents to faces of “learning” in this class: first, learning as acquiring the fundamental knowledge on the subject of assessment and; second, learning as the transformative and evolving process I continually go through particularly in the skill of formulating various assessment tools.

I honestly imagine myself as a caterpillar who is taking the first few steps towards enrichment, exploring new horizons and someday growing to be an effective teacher or a full grown butterfly in the figurative form of speech.

In this portfolio, I aim to capsulate this learning process and somehow show a glimpse of the transformation I have undertaken.

This journey is for all my future students. Your unseen beautiful faces are my inspiration. To God be all the honor and glory.
