Traditional Tests

Traditional tests or the so-called standard pen and paper tests are widely used in the present educational system. This type of test has been widely criticized for having a limited learning target objective (primarily cognitive) and does not categorically measure actual learning.

However, it must be emphasized that traditional tests require careful planning and clear test construction. The more developed a traditional test is, the more it can test higher order thinking skills.
